Various positions for Supply Chain Administrators are currently available at the GPAA and it will be 24 months contracts.

Salary: R138 348 per annum plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Requirements:
An appropriate three year tertiary qualification with 18 months relevant experience in Provisioning Administration / Supply Chain Management or Senior Certificate with three years proven experience in Provisioning Administration/Supply Chain Management. Demonstrate sound understanding of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA, SCM guidelines and other related prescripts; Knowledge of Public Sector procurement processes, rules and regulation. Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel, e-mail and internet) Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team. Good interpersonal relations. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Planning and decision making skills Must be a responsible and reliable person. Effective organisational skills Analytical and Problem Solving Skills Client Orientation and Customer focus. Ability to deal with pressure. Self-motivated.

Duties:
The incumbent for this position will be reporting to Assistant Manager Supply Chain Management, and will be responsible for a wide range of activities which will include among others but not limited to:
- Assist with updating the GPAA Supplier Database Assist with procurement of goods and services within the Department by means of quotations in conjunction with relevant threshold delegation.
- Ensure that the database is utilized effectively and compliance with Supply Chain Management policies.
- Assist with the obtaining of quotations.
- Ensure proper and valid supporting documents are attached for each request.
- Receive requisition from user and verify allocations, item description and record requisition on the register.
- Ensure that the procurement of goods and services are within respective delegation of authority.
- Assist in Inventory Control (Warehouse).
- Perform spot check and stock count (Monthly and at year end).
- Assist with performance management on contracts.
- Assist with evaluation process for bids and price quotations.
- Assist with briefing sessions.
- Assist with closing of bids.
- Assist to communicate with suppliers on matters of clarity.
- Assist in the consolidation of annual procurement plan.
