From the public relations department of the FdA: ---- Development of the structure ----
First, a few words about the development of the Federation with respect to the members.
The interest in the Federation of German anarchists (FdA) grows more noticeable. In the
last three months, three new groups have joined us in April, the Anarchist Group Eastern
Ruhrgebiet (Anarchist Federation of the Rhine-Ruhr AFRR) and the Anarchist Federation
Northern Intiative (IAFN) , then in May, the anarcho-syndicalist Youth (ASJ) Bonn. ----
But there were not only to report growth: In May 2013 broke up after 8 years of existence
and a very strong commitment to its region antinationale.org (formerly National Anti
offensive Saar, ANO) on. More on the reasons for the resolution, and the prospects of the
Saarland you can read here.

So are currently about 27 member groups in the Federation. But to play with numbers, it is
not us. We are mainly interested in a mutual support and cooperation of groups (both the
Federation and divorced them). And these possibilities increase exponentially with a wide
base. Currently, we contend, however, still a little with the inclusion of all groups in
the structures. Of course, there are groups (and individuals therein), which are more or
less interested in federal structures. We do not find more problematic because the
autonomy of the groups the defining element of our Federation is - and it so each group
and each individual is free in the degree to which they want to use the federal structures
- or not.
To put it the other groups and initiatives (particularly from non-traditional political
spectrum group), which are indeed interested in the Federation, however, would be
overwhelmed by a classical membership to enable Contribute, we have developed a new model
of cooperation. With this we would like to experiment a bit in the coming year to create
more synergy between our two projects: the "associated projects".
Here is a brief presentation of the model:
The basic idea is that groups and encourage initiatives while not become a member, but
enter into a close strulturelle bond, whereby the flow of information, which often is very
conducive to cooperation, but comes about.
Associated Projects are close (but not exclusive) partner of the FdA . For example, they
work together on certain projects. They are not involved in the decision-making
structures. You will be guided on the FdA Web site as "associated project" and are invited
to all meetings FdA - with guest status. Associated projects support the Federation
financially with a contribution of at least ? 30 per year. Send, if possible, to every FdA
meeting a report on their activities.
In concrete terms, the whole work as follows:
The associated projects determine a person from among themselves to act as contact person
for the FdA. This person is responsible for:
Introduction of topics that could be interesting for the FdA or its constituents
Back issues of carrying out the FdA in your project (including the group reports)
The Department of organization is in turn responsible to be associated projects pertinent
information coming from the FdA or incorporate the information from the associated
projects in the FdA (ideally forwarded directly to interested constituents).
The only "duties" that have associated projects, in addition to the annual fee, the
provision of a contact person and writing regular reports on their activities. All others
are offers that can be taken advantage of, but need not. Associated low-threshold projects
are run in this way and can later, with interest, strengthen cooperation and apply for a
full membership in the FdA.
Should you have interest, get in contact with fda-organisation/at/riseup (.) Net. What
synergies can be created, you can learn in the next section.
Development of activities
In March, the FdA was invited to attend a series of events an introduction to anarchism in
Cottbus. Three comrades * set inside there before our federative concept and had long
conversations about issues diverste anarchist theory and utopia with the application ends.
In April, we coordinated the German-speaking part of a 2.5-month tour info and solidarity
of comrades inside * from Belarus through Western Europe, 26 April came to a close in
Berlin. We brought out posters and flyers for all eight venues. Was important to us, and
groups outside the FdA structures involve, what with the venues in Nuremberg ( FAU
Nuremberg ), Leipzig ( Leipzig ASJ () and Finsterwalde * inside Finsterwalde Organized
anarchist ) succeeded well. It was particularly pleasing that the Autonomous Center in
Wuppertal spontaneously joined the solidarity efforts and independently prevented a
solidarity event!
A stop on the tour, but also an event that was supported largely by FdA structures, was
the Book Fair in Mannheim on 19-21st April . Here, too, supported the FdA the organizer *
inside both logistical personnel during the show, but eventually also substance in the
form of lectures and panel discussions (with a lecture on "Anarchist movement today in
Germany" in, a bilingual presentation on "Anarchist movement Turkey and Kurdistan, "a book
launch of" Brief history of fascism "and a panel discussion to Gaid?o and systempunkte.org
). The Gaid?o supported the Book Fair in addition to the publication of a special edition
that also functioned as a program booklet for the exhibition. Last but not least made ??a
cooperation between the Anarchist group Mannheim , as the organizer of the book fair, and
the Anarchist Radio Berlin that about 2/3 of the events could be documented on audio. The
processing of the audio stops yet, but will hopefully be ready in the summer.
In May, we went straight on. In cooperation with the U.S. rapper and anarchists " brine
"the FdA assisted him in applying his European tour, whereupon he returned the favor with
the fact that the Federation or groups of friends (or in Paris, the Federation Anarchiste
) information booths could set up at his concerts. Since it came in handy that another
special edition of Gaid?o was available, namely 1, May . This edition was aimed both a
brief introduction to the background of the first libertarian To give than to give a
panorama of current struggles in a number of cities in May In fact this should be either
decidedly anarchist May 1st demonstrations or at least libertarian independent blocks
within larger alliances. Due to problems with the delivery of mail Gaidaos could not be
distributed at the demonstration in several places, as planned. The development of a
stronger libertarian networking efforts on 1 To initiate Mai, but the issue has reached quite.
From 24th-26th May there was in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the Balkan Anarchist Book Fair held,
organized by the Anarchist Federation in Slovenia and supported by many other groups and
federations from all over Europe, including the FdA. The FdA had the Anarchist World
Meeting in St. Imier internally very critically analyzed and all knowledge of it made ??
its sister federations in the IFA to enable future large-scale events are clearly
horizontal, participatory and total of more discussions and exchange dominated. These
ideas were completely in the preparation of the Balkan Book Fair, made ??something out of
a wonderful event, whose only drawback was the bad weather. Even before the exhibition was
a contemporary of the FdA at the request of FAO a group of interested people an
introduction to awareness structures, so that a common, if could also be developed
rudimentary Safe Space concept and eventually implemented. At the fair itself, the FdA or
Gaid?o was present with an information stand and involved in the organization of two
debates: to "Anarchist radio practices" and "libertarian publications." Here, too,
supported the A-Radio Berlin, the audio technical documentation of the events in
cooperation with local structures.
The end of May was the FdA in Berlin then invited back to the festival in the country K?pi
(31 May and 1 June) where we gave an information booth next to an introduction to the
practice of the Federation. Two other planned events, a discussion of the Gaid?o one hand
and a practical workshop on the radio the other hand, had to make, but unfortunately they
are due to problems of space and time planning and thereby weggebliebenen interested * inside.
The federation widely supported Radio Project A-Radio Berlin has established its format of
libertarians podcasts now as a stable medium. And since the beginning of June he is to
receive every month via VHF radio and live stream at Dreyeckland.
The Gaid?o, the number of subscriptions since January 2013, where we started to increase
at about 100 to about a 200th The number of hits on the blog are in constant 1000 per
issue. In addition, and we are particularly pleased that Gaid?o is also increasingly
accepted as a discussion platform, which is reflected in an increasing number of articles
that are written in response to an earlier article.
Development of the International Solidarity
In April comrades supported * inside of the Anarchist Federation in the Czech Republic
Dresden (CSAF) in their efforts to support Roma families who have been discriminated
against in the housing market in Usti Nad Labem. Find current anti-Roma protests by the
neo-Nazis held, so there probably will be asked again soon solidarity.
In addition, we have expanded our contacts in Latin America, and has already sporadic
collaborations at a very practical level.
Perspectives
Current and medium term are important discussions in the Federation on further political
strategies and approaches. These were started some time ago. We'll see when the discussion
is beginning to bear fruit.
Another important issue that we want to turn our attention is the gender issues that we
have noted in the Federation. Basically, the male (numerical) dominance in the Federation
only reflects the situation in the wider libertarian movement. But we do not want to be
satisfied and will look in the coming months, according to internal and external routes to
go at least the first steps towards greater integration female socialized people in our
structures.
Other likely topics for the second half of the year will be: the Unit 3 Celebration
October in Stuttgart and the counter-protests and different ideas for election in 2013,
which is already working on now. Should you in these areas in joint projects and campaigns
are interested, get in touch with the FdA.
We hope we could give you a little insight into the current development of the Federation!
