US issues travel warning for Golan Heights

The US State Department has issued a travel advisory for the Golan Heights.

The U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem advises U.S. citizens that due to fighting between Syrian opposition forces and the Syrian military in the central portion of the Disengagement Zone in the Golan Heights near the Syrian town of Qunaitra, travel on route 98 in the Golan Heights or any road or point east of route
