Spain, Anarchist arrested in Sabadell


This morning (15-5-13) the Ateneo libertario de Sabadell (Barcelona) was raided. The 
libertarian space is owned by the CNT-AIT and is a meeting place for other anarchists and 
also for assemblies of 15M. The raid was made without a warrant. 5 people were arrested 
from the group Bandera Negra. The police allege that they were plotting terrorist 
activities. These allegations are seen in the context of a recent anarchist scare
in the media. It is clear that there are new attempts by authorities to criminalize social 
movements, especially in light of increasingly bad social condition and corruption 
scandals of the government. One TV station reported that this is part of what is a planned 
national action against radicals. Anarchists around Spain are responding. The first
