In diesem Band wird die innovative Analyse der Haupttypen der Substanzen in der Biosphäre beschrieben, sowie die größte Aufgaben in der derzeitigen Konzeptualisierung der Substanzen. Der Autor schlägt hier eine neue Kategorie der Substanzen vor, „ex-living matter“ (ELM), basierend auf seinen Experimenten, welche zusammen mit anderen Daten aus der Literatur diskutiert werden. Die Hauptfunktionen des ELM in der Biosphäre werden ebenfalls formuliert und geprüft, sowie Varianten der Namensgebung. Dieser Band ist geeignet für Studenten und Wissenschaftler der Ökologie, Biogeochemie, Limnologie, Ozeanographie, Umweltwissenschaften, sowie für Universitätsprofessoren.

In this volume the innovative analysis of the main types of the matter in the biosphere is described, as well as the major challenges concerning the actual conceptualization of the matter. The author suggests a new conceptualization “ex-living matter” (ELM). This is based on his experiments, which are discussed together with data form literature. The main functions of the ELM in the biosphere are also formulated and concerned, as well as variants of the name.
