Martin Hensley |
Officials say Martin L. Hensley, 52, of Greenfield , was arrested and preliminary charged with possessing a firearm on school property. That was around 12:30 p.m. at Harris Elementary.
According to WISH-TV, a Greenfield Central School Corp. security officer called police advising that there was a man in the school with a shoulder holster.
Hensley told the officer the gun was in his vehicle. His vehicle was parked in front of the school with a semi-automatic handgun in plain view.
Officials say Hensley was at the school to have lunch with his children.
According to state law, a person can have a gun in their vehicle on school property only if they are dropping or picking up their children.
