CARRY ON DOCTOR

In the UK, hospitals are in crisis.

The doctors seem to have vanished.

In one small town, we often find that: 

Dr A. is on holiday, sailing his large yacht.

Dr. B. is attending yet another meeting.

Dr C. is attending a function which has nothing to do with health.

Dr D, a foreign trained locum, is attending to patients.

These doctors, working in the National Health Service, are very wealthy.

The Daily Mail reports:

1. When doctors are unavailable, senior nurses are being used to cover up to a quarter of a million patients.

2. Terminally-ill cancer patients are made to wait eight hours for a doctor to visit them at home and administer pain relief.

A UK government report into Stafford hospital found that some 1,200 patients died in appalling circumstances.

 Peter Oborne writes:

"Had any other institution been involved in a scandal on this scale, the consequences would have been momentous: sackings, arrests and prosecutions... 

"Astonishing to relate, nothing has happened. 

"Politicians have made perfunctory expressions of concern, while agreeing that... Sir David Nicholson (the senior figure responsible) must remain in his job."

We have a suspicion that some of these doctors, nurses and medical administrators are members of some secret organisation that is 'untouchable'.

The spooky Common Purpose organisation has a growing number of members in the NHS.
