So in Toms River NJ a 4 year old goes inside and comes out with the 22 caliber rifle that is in the house and shoots the 6 year old neighbor kid in the head. Luckily the shot did not kill the 6 year old.
The news reported on television reads the copy which goes like this. The police are questioning the 4 year old who is responsible for the shooting.
Hey you dillweeds---THE FOUR YEAR OLD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE.
THE MOTHER, THE FATHER , THE CARETAKER, THE PERSON WHO OWNS, RENTS LIVES IN THAT HOUSE IS REPONSIBLE. IT IS NOT TO HARD TO FIGURE OUT. DRAG THEIR SORRY ASSES IN FRONT OF A JUDGE AND CHARGE THEM WITH NEGLECT, CHILD ENDANGERMENT , BEING STUPID OR CARELESS BUT CHARGE THEM WITH SOMETHING.
And when you are done doing that , please remind President Obama to get on the bully pulpit and start speaking to the issue of parenting. Gees, we have people who are too stupid to be raising children and what happens is that their children become parents too stupid to raise children.
At least Mayor Bloomberg is trying to speak to the issue of responsible parenting and it is about time that all our national leaders do the same.
PS, I open up my web browser and see that somewhere in this country a mother is killed by another 4 year old waving around the family weapon. How stupid are the adults of this nation.
Mr. Obama start to talk. Ditch the political speak, tell it loud and proud. People you have got to start taking responsibility.
As a sad follow up to what I wrote yesterday, today's news reported that the child had in fact died of his injury. Years back when I came from Michigan to NJ , I owned a rifle that we would target shoot with. I got rid of the rifle some years later and as much as I would have liked to have gone out and plinked some cans I knew that having any firearm in a house with children is not a real good idea. I had been taught about guns early on, the absolutes. Every gun is a loaded gun and must be treated as such. I am truly saddened by these incidents for they underscore the fact that many are still not paying attention.
