Natives are getting restless

Sometime back I got word that the children of Congresspersons do not have to pay back student loans. It sounded preposterous to me, but then I started asking about and started to get told more and more things that are absurd.  They do turn out to be true.  I and my wife will pay for our children's education for a long long time.  We pay so they don't have the burden of starting off in their 20s without a dream of achieving a lifestyle .  It is our view of parenting.  But I sure don't want some congressperson's kid  going on my dime too.

The one term of service and lifetime of pension part is true, and it comes with lifetime benefits.  That is a wowser.

But a friend of mine who has his finger on the pulse sent me the following:

Children of congress members do not have to pay back their college student loans. How nice!

Staffers of Congress family members are also exempt from having to pay back student loans.

Members of Congress can retire at full pay after only one term.

Members of Congress have exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed, under which ordinary citizens must live. For example, they are exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment.

And as the latest example, they have exempted themselves from Healthcare Reform, in all of its aspects.

We must not tolerate an elite class of such people, elected
as public servants and then putting themselves above the law.

I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent, or
whatever. The self-serving must stop.

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon their states.

It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days most people in The United States of America will have the message.

So do the right thing, copy and paste and pass it on.  It won't change a thing, it won't get you any benefit , but it will make you feel as though your wailing in the dark is not for naught.  And the next time you walk into a voting booth be sure to pull the lever for the guy who does not hold office.
