On 1 April 2012 the MRAP put on record the existence of "anti-white racism." But the
social movement should not legitimize this concept. The issue of anti-white racism must
ask ourselves what racism is, and what became of antiracism. The term is now diverted so
amazing. And Laurence Parisot, last October, has seriously talked about racism against
boss! The left has a responsibility to antiracism that have a moral issue with SOS Racism,
to de-radicalize marches for equality in the 1980s. ---- The extreme left, often evoking
racism in the unique angle of the division of Workers or scapegoat who avoids speaking of
"real problems", helped to minimize this phenomenon. This analysis leads necessary but not
sufficient to melt the issue of racism in the anti-capitalist struggle alone.
What is racism?
We must remember what socially racism: the construction from above (political, government,
media, intellectuals ...), a defined population from a membership and essentialized
certain criteria (skin color, culture religion, nationality ...). The essentialisation led
amalgam and prejudice. The construction above then spreads to all levels of society.
Racism is not only hostility, hatred or rejection of a population constructed according to
a given criterion, but a relationship of domination and unequal treatment, as determined
by the hierarchy of values ??called "higher or lower" and / or "dangerousness" attributed
to such people, "culture", "civilization". This process assigns groups referred to some
social marginalization can lead to different forms eviction, see to their extermination.
You can not put on the same plane racism reaction, for example a young racialized or-e,-e
impoverished, expressing frustration at social injustice and racism of a white proletarian
who believes that it is a priority because it would be "home". White can suffer because of
hostilities, resentment or hatred reaction can sometimes be violent, but that may take the
form of a system of racist oppression that marginalize white populations. While there may
be political essentializing white supremacist groups in black for example, the racist
ideology is not based on any real social or institutional domination and no consequence
for the social group defined as white.
Racism and "hate community"
The hostile reaction of some kids cities is closer to the phenomena of communal tensions
in the United States. In Los Angeles, for example, Hispanics, Asian and Black are
competing in the labor market and compete territorially through the phenomena of gangs.
All, however, are socially dominated by whites. Community tensions that tend to sometimes
be perceived as racism, are explained again with colonial history. The imperialists have
always divided and rule in the colonies between populations dominated them, or favoring
one group over another. It is the same today with the implementation of this method in
cities and neighborhoods. If communal tensions are worrisome, violent, and combat in that
they dominated the lead-es to divide or to kill them, they are to be understood as a
consequence of systemic racism. Because it is racism and stigmatization from above that
nourish the prejudices that integrate racialized groups against other groups racialized.
Divide and conquer
Anti-Semitism also through these tensions. With one hand, the alignment of the major
parties on the Zionist ideology which exploits the CRIF and anti-Semitism, and secondly
the stigma of " barbaric young suburban anti-Semitic . " Thus, politicians and the media
speak of double standards between the condemnation of anti-Semitism and other forms of
racism, which only fuels the communal tensions. Dialectically, the development of
antisemitism in this situation can serve as a "shield" against the white-racialized
hostility are, what is the meaning of speech wishing Alain Soral guide frustrations
legitimate inhabitants and residents Popular neighborhoods not against systems of
domination they suffer but against "Jewish-Zionist conspiracy." Through these concepts,
the right and the extreme right are trying to maintain social privileges while
stigmatizing part of the population. Thus Elijah Domota and R?gine Delphin UGTG members
were accused es of anti-white racism because they criticized the system of domination
B?k?s. Do not confuse the consequences (rejection of the other community tensions ...)
with causes (systemic racism). Equate the two tends to make accountable es racialized
hostility and discrimination they face and to deny the existence of a relationship of
domination.
