Read on The Union Libre: For some time we see a new show in Quebec right. A right that is
not religious or conservative morality. The latter says more pragmatic and realistic. It
revolves around the idea that nothing should interfere with personal initiative, nothing
should hinder the willingness of individuals in their entrepreneurial freedom. Morality
and ethics are nothing. These are just primitive constructions serving only limit the free
will of human-es. No value is commendable if it discourages progress, material
accumulation and profit. For what is at the center of this new right: the economy
excessively. Here dogma for these fanatical neo-liberal capitalism. Anything that does not
allow the retention and growth of capitalism does not deserve to be. Account only what is
profitable. The state is their enemy because it interferes with the natural order to be
prepared with pure capitalism. It only serves to interfere and restrict the freedoms of
individuals, which inevitably result in a slowdown in the endless expansion of our
production and consumption.
Freedom
To justify an existence among the population, the right door is always on the defense of
individual liberties to defend the doctrine of neo-liberalism and the free market. But
this defense of freedom is a smokescreen. Individuals are free, yes, but only under
capitalism. Because of course, nothing can exist, nothing is true. The apostles of this
right are just hammering the idea of ??individual freedom to hide the fact that this
freedom is an illusion. It is an illusion that can justify any abuse of the system. This
system is thus found to be one that is authoritarian and totalitarian, not the archaic
version of this kind of diet, but a more modern and much more insidious versions. Indeed,
it is not a state that requires by positive laws which is right and what is wrong. What he
is talking about here is a system that oppresses freedom and individuality. While the
spokespersons of this right will always say that every individual-e is free to do what he
likes, but this is of course a blatant lie. Indeed, although in theory freedom is present,
it is modulated by the market because it is the latter which dictates the "good'' and"
bad'' or rather what is profitable and what does is not. What class in the second category
will be devalued, degraded, and try to make them disappear. There has to think the recent
debate on the relevance of colleges: the right does not really want the abolition of these
institutions, it wants to see disappear unprofitable programs such as social sciences, to
allow more room for technical areas, they are more advantageous in a system like ours. A
freedom which, of course, is calculated by salary, freedom to be bought. Those who do not
have the means will always be free to choose their exploiters. Finally, it is a
non-freedom in question.
Individuality
This ideology does not attack only our freedom, but also to our individuality, our
humanities. Indeed, in our current context, the entire existing things must become a
commodity. Everything has become utility to ideology. Areas that were considered sacred,
such as education, body, sex, health, etc.., Find themselves relayed to the rank of
products subject to competition and market forces. The individual is no longer a-e, it is
only a tool for a greater purpose. The exploitation of human by human-e-e is now
acceptable because the exploited es chose their situation. They had the'' freedom'' to
choose their master. The entrepreneurial spirit should never be blocked, instead it should
be encouraged and become the foundation of our societies. Because they are the creators of
jobs that contribute to the evolution and progress. For the libertarian right, these and
these are somehow gods need worship and never offend, because they are the ones that offer
freedom. This ideology also believes that the unlimited enrichment of the richest
inevitably will drip on the poorest. This would result in a more egalitarian and
enlightened society. Of course, this kind of "magical thinking'' has never manifested in
reality and only serves to justify a hegemonic ideology.
And we would be authoritarian ...?
Obviously, the ideological enemy of this current is left. A left that is systematically
accused of wanting to move towards an authoritarian and undemocratic as we have seen in
the past regime. Of course, this kind of argument is that demagoguery. The struggles of
the left have always had a goal of freedom and individualization of each-e. Not only
economic freedom, because it is not one. When we demand that our public services are free,
it's not just because we do not want to pay. We believe they are fundamental to individual
freedom and the money should not determine if we have access to. A human being must be
educated in order to be free. Of course, we speak of a true education. Not an education
that is subject to market, but an education that enables the empowerment of women and men.
An education that benefits everyone, not just the most fortunate of our world-es. This
independence against capitalism, we do not just want in education. It is needed
everywhere, in all spheres of our society. We do not want a relative freedom, we want it
to be absolute and unconditional.
