He was once close to being caught in Chennai in 2011 and then in 2012 in Mumbai.
In Mumbai, Yasin was being tracked by the anti terror squad of the Delhi Police in 2012 but the operation 'fell apart' due to 'interference' from the Maharashtra (Mumbai area) anti-terror squad.
