(en) Stop repression against our comrades of the Popular Indigenous Council of Oaxaca - 'Ricardo Flores Magon "! (fr)

Libertarian Alternative expresses its support for Indigenous Popular Council of Oaxaca
"Ricardo Flores Magon" (CIPO-RFM), which is once again threatened by the policy of the
Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), newly returned to power, repression and
criminalization of social movements in Mexico. With the pretext of the recent emergence of
the Popular Army of National Liberation Magonista, an armed group that calls itself
Magonista (libertarian Mexican), and respect for the "law", and even though the PRI did
not hesitate to violate the law to return to power (campaign finance, vote buying,
collusion with the media), the new government wants to discredit and suppress any popular
movement and initiative, whether student, native or libertarian.

After the brutal repression of the movement # 132 (launched by students in the spring to
oppose the return of the PRI and demand more democracy and transparency) during the
mobilization against the December 1 decision function Enrique Pe?a Nieto, it would be the
turn of the CIPO-RFM suffer political violence that the Mexican state is so fond. Indeed,
information concern we arrived in Oaxaca on preparations for a police operation against
the house and paramilitary Community CIPO in the suburbs of the city of Oaxaca. This would
be falsely justified by the influence of the movement CIPO # 132 and its participation in
the new guerrilla group Magonista, allegations completely wrong.

The CIPO-RFM, organization "friend" Libertarian Alternative, is an indigenous
organization, libertarian and Magonista peaceful, independent of any political party or
armed group, which "directs" no movement but supports any initiative peaceful resistance,
as # 132 movement. The CIPO-RFM has already suffered enough repression to his fight for
justice, autonomy of the indigenous peoples of Oaxaca and the defense of Human Rights and
Indigenous Peoples. We denounce any further acts of repression against the organization
and call for international solidarity to ensure the safety of our fellow Mexicans.
