Ebeneezer has nothing on you , sweetheart.

Wife has a friend at work who has been under the gun for awhile.  She does not get along with her American Supervisor and it may have something to do with her South American heritage.  But I can't make that statement without something more concrete.

But the lady related a story about her E Mail ringing through onto her smart phone on Christmas night at about 8 PM. 

I told her that her mistake was allowing the E Mail to send her an alert.  I know that all the kids do that stuff, but hey we are adults here.  We need to shut off the phone sometime.   So she says her son set her phone up for her----like I didn't know that. 


So she relates this story about being at home and her phone going off , she was with family and she picks it up and it is her supervisor sending her an E Mail at 8 PM on Christmas , to remind her of a task that she needs to do on Friday, which is tomorrow.

Supervisor is on vacation all week this week and she used terms within her E Mail to demean the employee in a basic passive agressive way.  But what is really strange is that the supervisor can't take vacation or time away from the company.  What is wrong with her, and why would any company want someone who lacks depth to be in charge of anything.

So  I am now left wondering about the shallowness of the supervisor's life that she is so desolate that she can't take but one day off in the year and dedicate it to friends and family and mirth and good will
I spent time with my relatives and my wife's relatives and even with my own children over the last couple of days and even though there were some rough moments, it was good.  There was some laughter, some reflection, some arguments, some tears, some of life.  Life is good, I hope that lady gets to live some of it for herself instead of the company at some point.
