Time to haggle

I must brag for a second..."Look at these two cutie-pies."

These are my grand-kids, Riley and Bradley. He is almost 7 weeks old and 14 pounds now and doing so well. Riley is 2 1/2.
This is going to be a FUN Christmas. Riley is 'pumped'. :)

                                                                  Junkin'

Because I am looking for a cabinet, we (as in the retired-guy and me) were junkin' again this morning. I fell in love with this one but the price is OUTRAGEOUS! I plan to try to talk them down tomorrow and then look at it again. I had to almost stand on my head to get this lousy photo. It was hidden behind other pieces. This would fit in well with my dining-room table and chairs plus I just want it.
This was nice too but more expensive at $3,000.00. "Outrageous!"
This old barn is packed with goodies but cold as the arctic in there. Good thing we were prepared.
The cabinet in this photo was so TALL. You had to be 6 ft. to reach the top shelf and it needed a face-lift. There was no price on it.
It's a beautiful, very cold but sunny day today so Kane and I left for a walk.

Look at this poor, old mutt. Because of Kane's allergies he has lost hair on his shoulders and back over the summer and actually has bald patches. Hence, he has to wear a coat now until the hair grows back. This year was the worst we have seen him as it was so hot and the culprit, ragweed, was everywhere, even growing through the cracks in the sidewalk. We have bathed him once a week all summer and he has been on benadryl and a holistic concoction from our vet. It has been very hard on him and he is not at the finishing line yet. He looks like a neglected dog with such a thin coat and patchy skin. Our vet keeps telling us that he will be fine again soon. His skin needs to recover now.

This fella was enjoying the sun on a cement block even on this cold day.
Obviously, he has ALL his coat.

Audrey and Annie sunning themselves.
When Audrey was a tiny baby she would always sleep with her head on her mother's back.
She still does today.

Riley is coming for a visit tomorrow so we are planning breakfast out and some book shopping. Then I am off to cat-sit three of my favorite kitty clients.
Great way to end the week.

Have a good weekend.
hugs, Deb
