This is Audrey last Christmas visiting our table tree.
You can just imagine what was going through that mischievous mind.
We'll be bringing home another tree for the table this year. We have 11 ft.ceilings and last years' tree almost reached the top. It worked so well with the cats (except for Audrey) and all the gifts could be nestled under the table on a skirt. We added a small train set to follow a track around the tree for Riley's delight and now little Bradley may get a kick out of it, too. I know Audrey loved it."Audrey, are you going to climb my table tree this year?"
"YES"
"How about I hang it from the ceiling, then?"

This is the time of year to enjoy hot chocolate.
I like a big mug of hot chocolate and found these huge mugs last year.
There's plenty of room for miniature marshmallows.
and there is no need to get up for a re-fill.
Add a bowl of popcorn....heaven.
I baked banana muffins this morning.
It's an old recipe from a cook book called Encyclopedia of Canadian Cuisine by Jehane Benoit
They are a very basic muffin and a little butter and honey is a great addition.
Here's the recipe...
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 bananas, mashed
2 cups all purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of milk
Cream the butter, add the brown sugar and heat until creamy. Add the egg and the mashed bananas, mixing well.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Stir just enough to blend together. Spoon into muffin cups and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
