Abstract
This paper presents and verifies the hypothesis that, in the presence of macrophytes the initial significant decrease in water surface tension caused by addition of surfactant sodium dodecylsulfate was followed by gradual restoration of surface tension. The surface tension of water in the microcosm with the OST1 macrophyte restored to the level close to that of pure water within less than 3 days, is demonstrated.
