Reported security incidents
#1: Bodies of six volunteers belonging to Aman Lashkar (peace militia) were found from Tirah valley of Khyber Agency while four militants were also killed in a blast Tuesday, FP News desk reported. According to sources, bodies of six peace volunteers having bullet wounds were found from Tirah valley. It may be mentioned that the volunteers had been kidnapped few days ago from the valley. Bodies of 15 volunteers have been found so far in the past four days. On the other hand, four militants were killed in Khazana Morcha area of Tirah valley when explosives detonated in the militants’ hideout. An IED also exploded in Tehsil Jamrud but fortunately no loss was reported. It is said that the target of the roadside bomb was the Nato containers.

#2: The Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs said that the police forces, backed by the army and the NATO-led coalition forces, have eliminated 28 Taliban in different provinces within the past 24 hours. "ANP in collaboration with the army and coalition forces launched 17 cleanup operations in Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, Kunduz, Faryab, Wardak, Ghazni and Paktika provinces, killing 28 armed Taliban over the past 24 hours," the ministry said in a statement.

#3: Up to four people were killed and five others injured in separate roadside bombings in Afghanistan on Tuesday, authorities said. "Three civilians were killed when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb in Luchak area of Nad Ali district, Helmand province early Tuesday morning," a provincial government spokesman, Ahmad Zarak, told Xinhua.

#4: In addition, three civilians were wounded in an IED explosion along a main road in Nangarhar province, 120 km south of Kabul earlier Tuesday.

#5 Four members of Afghan Local Police (ALP) were killed Tuesday morning when militants launched attack on a checkpoint in northern Kunduz province, an official said. "The attack took place in Pul-i-Noor Khan area in Dashti Archi district at around 8:30 a.m., sparking a gunfight which left four ALP members dead, including the commander of the post named Qaum Khan," chief of the district Shaikh Sardroddin told Xinhua.

#6: Provincial governor spokesman Ahmad Zerak confirming the report said the second incident took place while Afghan police forces were looking to defuse a roadside bomb. He said at least one Afghan police officer was killed and two others were injured after explosive device went off.
