I am on my way to work this morning and there is a re modeler's van ahead of me.
Let's just call it RESTORATION CONTRACTORS. That is 4 Ts if my counting is correct.
There was prominent signage on the van, all over the van, front, sides and back. In the signage each of the Ts was replaced by a stylized crucifix, with a little mark so as to make it unmistakable as a crucifix.
So, I got to wondering about the use of Jesus Christ and his crucifix as an advertising device. Hey, I am all in favor of your being devoted and being faithful, but is an advertising device such as this really right ?
My Sister , the agnostic, says that when someone tries to force their Christianity on your, they are really trying to force you to think that they are "good" people and she says that those in her experience are really not and your antennae should go up. She further goes on to say that if you do not readily accept their view , they are really trying to make you feel as if you are a "bad" person.
I sense that there is something to her argument. See, my sister is a "good" person, kind, gracious, intelligent, not biased in the least. She also does analyze and see things that many of the rest of us do not. She views some religions as misogynistic and oppressive, in much the same way as she views those who would push the religion down your throat.
So, as I drove along, I wondered if the re modeler was a good craftsman and if he was fair in his dealing, seeing the crucifix on his truck made me wonder---was he pushing an agenda or what, or was he duping people into believing that he was a good person.
Mulling this stuff over is just the stuff to give one a headache on the way to work. Why are these things ignorable or just simple.
