Against the mayor of Buenos Aires, [NDT. Mauricio] Macri, the students es were brought to
the defense of public education and quality. Little small, the mayor began to commodify
education in schools techniques. She wanted us to remove material fundamental technique in
our course, without consulting anyone, bypassing the school community (the " macrismo
"have done since the national government has not established number minimum hours of
technical content in the curriculum). ---- Now she also wants to eliminate evening classes
of technical schools, the only time slots during which students who work can attend! The
mayor manages public education as if it managing a business! ---- But there is one thing
that no government can control: the organization of people.
The Agrupaci?n of T?cnicos Autoconvocados (ATA Association Technician-ne-s Autonomous
[NDT. Self-organized or-es]), with the support of parents and
teaching staff, has launched a campaign to halt the degradation
education, by organizing several marches to the Legislature
city ??and to the Ministry of Education porte?o (that is to say, Buenos Aires), and
authorities in delivering a petition signed by more than 15,000 students and
students, teachers and parents a petition which was never
no response.
After months and months to be ignored by the mayor es porte?o, the only
alternative that we had to halt the dismantling of our
education, was to occupy schools. Today, nearly 30 schools are porte?as
occupied, with the help of several classmates gathered in the CEB-es. Students
and students do not face only a mayor who does not even us
meet ([NDT. Esteban] Bullrich gave us no answer, or meeting). But
we also have to do with the mass media that we are trying to
ridicule, as Feinmann, which broadcasts that we want to study less.
Our response to these people is: we want more public education and
best quality!
For this reason, we believe that the first step out of this situation
Bullrich hear is that the claims of the ATA and all students and
all students of secondary student before the crisis, the Minister of
Education porte?o must at least agree to meet with students and
students. In addition, the changes that the administration wants to achieve porte?o
are too important and affect too many people, and it appears to us
undemocratic that the school community has no voice in this
decision. As students of the technical schools offer:
no change in the curriculum without consultation. That their adoption is suspended
until 2014, and during the following year - teachers, teachers and
students, students - can discuss the future of our education.
We are not talking about the color of the walls of schools. Students and
Students fight for the future of the next generations, our opportunities and
our expertise work for a good basic training to enter
University. We fight for the students who must leave
work at an early age can have a better future. For education
service of the people.
Because we believe that a world solidarity, equality and without differences
Social is possible, we invite you to discuss about the struggle
secundarios, about the future of our education and our society in general.
Closer to you! Fight for a better and more accessible education is
fight for a better world!
