White Dog sounded the alert that the delivery guy was here and Steve went to drag the huge box onto the porch. He gave the White Dog Army a chance to sniff and guarantee our safety before bringing it into the house. As he began cutting open the box, he found that he had a pack of willing supervisors...and Oso was even willing to help with pulling the tape and plastic out of the way.

Quinn's inability to walk very far has been an ongoing topic of conversation in our house as the Walk to End Cancer approaches. We cannot imagine the White Dog Army walking without him, yet we would never push him beyond his comfort or jeopardize his health. And then things were further complicated by Puff's going into heat, which means SHE is not going to be sashshaying her tail in front of 200+ other pups.

Several of you suggested a doggie stroller and we looked into the possibility. We thought we would get one large enough to hold both TOWD and SAWD and then BOTH could join the WDA behind the Grand Marshal at the front of the march. The strollers were expensive, especially since Steve also wanted one which transformed into a trailer that could also be hooked up behind his bike. But WD and I patiently searched the local used items sources and the internet and lucked into a one-day only 50% off sale with free shipping...and it is new! Eureka!

So after the floofy White Los Jefes made sure the wheels were secure, the handle on tight, the flaps all zippered, it was time for a test ride. Quinn appointed Oso as his proxy for the maiden stroll of the WDA Tank and Puff showed her Kansas frontier spirit by hopping right in. We think with a little practice, this might be the start of a beautiful tradition! White Dog has already called dibs when it comes time to try out the bike ride.
Just as a side note, Michael took these photos with his new camera; the first ever published!
