I have long since been disuaded of that notion. My original notion was replaced by the idea that we actually elected average people. Wrong , was I , yet again.
We elect some of the dumbest people on the face of the earth and pretend that they somehow are smarter than the rest of us and we allow them to lead us. That makes us some of the dumbest people on earth.
Case in point. There is a new type of product called a Laundry Pod, picture provided for you knuckle draggers who have never heard of it.. Well no sooner than laundry washers of the country (of which there are far too few) started dropping these little suckers into the Maytag there was some jackass calling for protection from the pods.
It seems as though NY Senator Chuck Schumer , a regular 40 Watt Refrigerator Bulb type of guy, only glows when the door is open and someone is looking at him. saw a pressing need for IMPORTANT FEDERAL LEGISLATION. Yup, it seems as though the thought occurred to Chuck that what we really needed was IMPORTANT FEDERAL LEGISLATION requiring Laundry Pods to be packaged in CHILD PROOF PACKAGING. No lie, this idiot is looking for child proof packaging on laundry pods.
So you wonder why some politicians take to yelling at their opposition, I will tell you why. It is because some politicians are infernally stupid and they deserve to be screamed at. Chuck, you should be able to hear me screaming from across the Hudson
Instead of using his bully pulpit to tell parents to start minding their children, watch them instead of Honey Boo Boo and be responsible for their well being and care , he decides that child proof packages for laundry pods is really what is needed. What the hell ever happened to being a freaking parent.
In a country where people can not be protected from some miscreant buying a bazooka I am gratified to know that I and mine will be protected from the danger of laundry pods.
Next politician I come across is gonna get a scream down from me.,
