STATEMENT OF CLASS AND ALTERNATIVE UNIONISM ----

that further debate on the call for a general strike. ---- We are currently witnessing an
accelerated deterioration of the conditions of life and work and to an increasing loss of
rights and freedoms. This instrument is being used in public debt in order to impair the
whole system and privatize public. ---- The policies pursued by the governments of the
PSOE and the PP and its partners nationalists led us to this state of social emergency.
Therefore, from the alternative class unionism and we will not promote the underpinning of
the capitalist system with patches or partial measures, on the contrary, we stand for the
struggle and mobilization as key elements of social transformation, against the
impositions of troika (IMF, ECB and European Commission) and the policies of governments,
kneeling, and we assume impose them.
We continue to oppose union policies of social partnership (represented by CCOO and UGT)
that have brought such disastrous consequences for years for most people. The referendum
can not be used as a bargaining chip or retarding a future general strike and necessary,
or as an instrument of demobilization far to apply for a National Government. The popular
will is abundantly expressed in demonstrations and in the streets,
We oppose the increase in VAT, which especially punishes the people whose entire income is
intended for basic food consumption. We denounce that money for the rescue of the
financial system is made at the expense of taxpayers, even above what was budgeted for
public services, as agreed with the PSOE and PP constitutional reform a year ago.
Witnessing a monumental scam, which should have consequences of prosecution and
imprisonment of those responsible for this situation. We demand an audit of the debt.
From the class unionism and support alternative processes and struggles assembly-driven
platforms that defend citizens solidarity values, opposition to the current capitalist
system and construction of a new social, political and economic service of general
interest. Against fear, we must respond with unity and struggle.
We consider it essential to propose a coordinated manner, a permanent mobilization
schedule that tends to unify the various struggles, to collect the proposals made from
grassroots movements and assembly-and, ultimately, to create conditions for a new general
strike call, which horizon we place before the adoption of the next State Budget. To this
end, we call for the September 26 a day of action across the state and for this we will
drive assemblies, strikes, demonstrations.,. that further debate on the call for a general
strike.
We demand the repeal of all Decrees (labor reforms and pay cuts, cuts in health,
education, social services, taxation, violated rights of immigrants, ...) because they
violate the rights and freedoms of the working class and of society as a whole and benefit
exclusively economic powers. The unequivocal defense of public services is a guarantee of
the maintenance of the rights of citizenship
The class unionism that represent alternative and supports the struggle of workers in
mining, transportation, the Andalusian countryside (repeal of the requirement of the 35
peons to collect the subsidy) and the general strike in the Basque Country by nationalist
trade unions, trade unionism and class and alternative social movements.
We convened for a meeting on October 6 in Andalusia to continue coordinating the actions
promoted by the alternative unionism and class as a unit.
Therefore, we propose:
- Do not pay the debt or their interests. We demand an audit of the same and imprisonment
for offenders. We demand the nationalization of the banks and the creation of a public bank.
- Our disagreement with the growing arms race and we reaffirm the NO to NATO.
- We firmly reject the repressive measures which, increasingly, are being taken against
the social and union activists who oppose government measures.
- Against labor reform and wage cuts.
- Refusal to continue soliciting money to devote to the financial system.
- Defense and Public Enterprise Services (as well as public lands and other assets). Not
to spoilage or privatization.
- Pursuit of tax fraud. No amnesties.
- For the equal rights of immigrants.
- Against social exclusion and poverty. Classes that are guaranteed access to food, water,
medicine (health), books (education and culture) and housing.
- Resignation of the central government and the respective regional governments, as well
as anyone else who is in the service of the Troika, being illegitimate, because their
actions violate the general interests of the population.
- Construction using direct democracy a social and political alternative that serves the
interests of the popular classes.
Therefore, we call the set of workers, the unemployed, pensioners, students, groups of
homeless, immigrants and components of social movements to participate in the day of
action called by the alternative class unionism and statewide on September 26, in support
of the call for a general strike.
