APPEAL ---- WE DO NOT WANT TO PAY THE CRISIS OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NOT 'OURS!
Get Organized together to win! ---- The crisis of the capitalist system expands in all
countries. Wherever governments and employers take this situation as a pretext to further
exploit workers. But they of course are responsible for this state of affairs and the
crisis of their economic and political system of capitalism. ---- Would have us believe
that all the exceptional measures of adjustment of cuts, austerity are necessary to
maintain the system, when the only thing they want is to continue to enrich themselves at
the expense of people who live their work. All of the attacks we have suffered in all
European countries have the same pattern:
Destruction of public services
Law reform in the labor market that leave all power in the hands of the masters
Elimination of fundamental social and trade union achieved after many years of struggle
Increased insecurity and unemployment
Attacks on the right to a pension and health
Attack on the school and university
All directives of the IMF, the World Bank, the ECB, .. just try to safeguard the interests
of the most powerful. Traditional syndicalism is leaving just one more time workers. Under
these conditions we can not sign agreements and accept the dictates imposed by
international bodies.
For us, the role of trade unions is to protect workers and to build a more just society,
and this task goes through a clear opposition to the austerity plans, it is no longer
possible for us to use models concertation. We need a strong mobilization with strikes and
demonstrations at European level.
For the labor movement, the priority must be given to the construction of a European
mobilization, and not in negotiations with the owners. We can not accept agreements or
covenants applying austerity plans and cuts decided by the World Bank and the
International Monetary Fund.
Let's build a European trade union movement and a great alternative for social
mobilization on September 27.
