White Dog and The White Dog Army
Wonderful World Wednesday
White Dog and Quinn are veterans in our personal quest to rid the world of the horrible c monster. They were in Fort Collins for the inaugural 2MillionDogs Walks to End Cancer and they carried the banner of our blog world friends and supporters.

Last year, for our very own first Walk in New Mexico, Nuka, Puff, and YoYoMa joined us and the White Dog Army was born. A banner was no longer big enough to carry our friends and inspirations along with us so we created a Tribute Wall to honor the Warriors, Survivors, and Heroes who also hope for a day when the world is cancer-free for all. Many of you sent photos and stories and positive thoughts to add to our monument (those precious icons will be with us again this year). Attendees wrote on scraps of paper and brought their own tributes to add and the Wall grew as the day went on. It was a presence at our Walk that moved people to tears and somehow made the spot seem sacred, special, and our purpose seemed blessed.

This year, with Oso now at our side, the White Dog Army is fighting the cancer beast on two fronts. We are staging two Walks in New Mexico in September and in November. Our Puppy Up! Rio Rancho Walk to End Cancer is only a month away, September 30th, and we are working hard to gather support. The response has given us encouragement to push harder. Ginger Jasper has loaned us his grandpa and Two Special Wires, their Fergie, to help us get the word out during our campaign. We have not words to thank each for their generosity of spirit.

We come to our Blog Family on this Wonderful World Wednesday to ask you to join our Wall. The WDA wants our New Mexico Warriors know that we do not Walk in isolation...that we are joined hands and paws in a circle around the world as we dare to dream of a world that is not robbed of the bodies, hearts, souls, and love of those cancer steals every day.

Please send us your Tributes to add to our Wall... To those you love who have been lost...To those who are fighting...To those who have Survived. Send words of support and encouragement to those Walking; tell them not to waver or lose hope; that together we CAN beat this beast. It doesn't have to be fancy or take much time but each voice, your voice, will add power on the day we Walk.

The WDA promises that every single Tribute will be hung at the starting point of our Walk where all will see and be reminded that we do not Walk alone...and that someday, because of our efforts, the day will come when cancer.touches.NOone! Can you imagine a more wonderful world?
Imagine and share the dream with us. Help us tell the world.
Send your Tributes and Notes of Encouragement to me at sehismith@aol.com Thank you so very much!
