The West supported Kagame to get power through the genocide that Kagame prepared himself. The West was aware that during his war campaign against the former government, Kagame was creating the required triggers to ensure the genocide happen that he will benefit from it because he could not win democratic elections in a country where 90% of the pollution are Hutus. Kagame triggered the genocide by killing civilians in Rwanda before the genocide took place, killing the former Rwandan president and using the existing young multi-party system that was being created in the country to support his war. Kagame launched the war against his own country claiming that he wanted to bring democracy in Rwanda. Now Kagame does not allow any opposition party to operate in Rwanda.
The West supplies money to Paul Kagame, the most dictator and war criminal of the modern times. In return Kagame has been advancing their interests in Rwanda and Africa. This is why Paul Kagame remains untouchable. Forget Saddam Hussein, Charles Taylor, Omar al-Bashir , Bashar Hafez al-Assad of Syria and others. They did not kill their own people than Kagame. The only difference is that UK and USA's international media and politicians have been deliberately covering up Kagame's war crimes by highlighting economic achievements that benefit the minority Tutsi who control all government and economic institutions of Rwanda.
Time has now come to drop Kagame so that he faces justice and that Rwandan people work together for a true reconciliation and democratic process that will involve all Rwandans and facilitated by the UN. The International Community must support this vision because they are the ones who brought Kagame to power through bloodshed.
The starting point of this vision is to ensure Kagame releases all political opponents, allow opposition parties to operate in Rwanda, allow exiled political opponents to return to Rwanda. All foreign aid that is not benefiting the poor communities should stop now. This includes foreign aid relating to budget support to run the military , parliamentary, political and administration systems of Rwandan regime.
