Révoltant. L'État sud-africain a hier assassiné 34 syndicalistes qui défendaient leur grève. Encore plus révoltant est que l'assassinat a été commandé et défendu par le COSATU et le Parti communiste, membres de la "Triple alliance". Le PC écrivait mardi: "The SACP calls on the police to act swiftly and bring to book these hooligans who have substituted reason and dialogue for bullets" (http://www.sacp.org.za/main.php?ID=3719). Aussi après, le COSATU défend le massacre en disant que les grèvistes tiraient d'abord.

At least seven miners have been killed in a shoot-out with police during a protest at Lonmin Platinum Mine in the North West province of South Africa.

The exact number of dead and wounded is not yet known, but some reports say the death toll is as high as 18.

Paramedics are at the scene and at least one victim has reportedly been airlifted to a nearby hospital. The government has yet to make a statement.
