As I sat in the Courthouse waiting for my case to be reached, I started to get just a little impaitent. There are only a few more days before vacation and there is a lot to do. So every minute counts. Butmy client is an English speaking American Citizen. But for some reason our Courts take all of the non English speaking cases first , those whose citizenship comes from somewhere else, they say that they do this because they use interpreters and they are saving resources. But there was one fallasy in the entire thing, they did not move any cases in the 1 hour that they waited for the interpreter to arrive. So we all sat for a solid hour doing nothing while an interpreter was coming. Something is wrong here folks.
I don't mind your giving the accused an interpreter, but move some cases while we wait, do not make us wait until you are all done with the interpreter before you start on the other cases. Just saying.
