White Dog thought for a moment then said, "Antipasti, naturally, with LOTS of prosciutto!" "And those giant prawns stuffed with crabmeat and avocado," Quinn chimed in. Steve nodded in agreement about the prawns, one of his favorites and looked shocked when The Other White Dog added, "But enough so dad leaves leftovers for US!"
YoYoMa thought we should have some fresh strawberries, "With brie," Puff added. "Should we just pre-mix that cheese in kibble, little one?" I asked her, knowing she could easily eat her weight in the creamy delight. She looked tempted.
"For after, while you are waiting for traffic to clear from the parking lot," Nuka contributed, "why not some of those little curried beef shwarma turnovers? They are so tasty and you won't have to break out the plates again."
"And you, little man?" Steve asked Oso, "what do YOU think we should bring for the opera picnic in hopes that some will come home as leftovers?" "Just you, dad," Oso looked adoringly at Steve. "It is a long night and I miss you. Come home to us soon."
Tonight is Rossini's Maometto II, one of his lesser known tragedies. It is hard to believe we are halfway through the season already!
