She ran that WhistleStop Cafe for nearly 30 years. . . with dad's help of course. Cooking and serving in the kitchen day after day. She was busy in the kitchen the day Fannie Flagg came in and said "I'm going to write a book about my Aunt Bess and this cafe". . . as they say ~ the rest is history.
