BELLINGHAM--In what was a low key tune-up for next week's Pac-12 championships in Eugene, University of Washington senior Brooke Pighin (left/photo by Paul Merca) won the javelin competition at the Western Washington University Twilight Meet Friday night at Civic Stadium.
Pighin threw 149-2 (45.48m) to beat Seattle Pacific's Brittany Aanstad, who had a best of 141-7 (43.16m).
