Palaeolithic artefacts discovered in Henan

Artefacts that date from around 40,000 years ago have been discovered recently in a scenic spot in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province.

Archaeologists from the School of Archaeology and Museology of Peking University and Zhengzhou Institute of Archaeology and Museology first carried out extraction on a 50-square-meter site, and unearthed tens of thousands of artefacts, including stoneware, animal skeletons and evidences of fire.
