We color code every link in the crevasse rescue safety chain in order to make a complicated system as simple as pie to manage. Cordellete's are red, pack leashes are yellow, rescue prussiks are black, sled hauls are orange. All together we use 8 colors of perlon and 5 colors of 1" webbing to differentiate all the pieces to the puzzle.
AMS focuses on the details because it matters.
