White Dog believes by now nearly every two- and four-legged in our blogging family knows that the most wonderful world The White Dog Army can envision is one without the c monster. At times it is overwhelming that so many Warriors must fight so bravely only to lose the battle. During those moments it is hard to focus on the victories, the advances that are pushing harder and with more success to beat the beast.

But amazing research is underway. Comparative Oncology is opening a new path to finding therapies and cures that destroy cancer in pups, and children; in kitties and women. Scientists are finding that we are not so different, two- and four-leggeds, and that what we discover works for one species often is a c killer in another as well.
