Facebook Timeline Starts Rolling Out To User Profiles

Image

Facebook starts converting all users' profiles to the new Timeline look. Maybe Some of you have enabled it already, but for the rest, the change is dramatic and will turn Facebook profiles as we know them upside down. Your Facebook profile will now (or soon) take the shape of a timeline going all the way back to the day you were born.
Facebook wants you to use your Timeline profile to tell the story of your life, from today, to the day you joined Facebook, to your childhood, and up until your birth. Your new profile will boast a huge cover picture, smaller boxes for things like friends, photos, apps and more (you get to choose which are featured), and of course, the timeline.

In the timeline you will be reunited with all your Facebook updates from the day you joined Facebook. This also includes a map of all the geotags you may have added to your posts. This might be cool for some people, but some may be embarrassed about old posts, and wish to hide or delete them. Facebook’s new profile has relatively easy-to-use privacy settings with which users can configure exactly what should appear on their timeline.
For example, if you want to hide a certain activity from your timeline, just view the activity, click the small arrow on the right and choose to hide the activity from the timeline.

You can also add any activity to the timeline, from breaking bones to getting a license, or anything else you want to share.

Time will tell if users will love and adopt this drastic change to Facebook’s profile. What do you think? Is this a good or bad change? What is your experience with it so far?
