White Dog wants to thank everyone for the lovely sentiments and very kind words on her birthday. The day was extra special because of those comments and thinking of you all kept her warm as the temperatures plummeted in the afternoon to the low 20's and the gusting winds tried to blow out her candles, first with blasts and then with snow.

True to their word, Quinn, Nuka, Puff and YoYoMa will chose seven commenters to pay forward a special gift to the charities of their choice...but Momma begs that all be patient until Monday for the announcement since I am still scrambling to live in the moment AND get everything done for tomorrow's Open house and for Christmas Day.

Here are some highlights of White Dog's Day that began with almond cheese croissants for breakfast.
Cappy and Ollie know just how to make a girl feel beautiful! A new travel case filled with treats AND some stuffies to cuddle with were the perfect choices and were so thoughtful.

Andy, it seems, knows that a romantic gesture makes the heart leap with excitement and causes the sweetest of dreams. Andy (Sally Ann's titled Eskie brother) has been courting White Dog in the most gentlemanly way and sent a gift that was very imaginative and bold...a bit of himself! White Dog blushed at the pieces of his fur taped to a MOST endearing note...and then hung the card up over her water bowl where she could see him everytime she walked by or took a nap.

Our friend Kittie from KittiesCakes sent White Dog a kit to build a gingerbread doghouse...complete with likenesses of the White Dog Army. Steve and White Dog spent the evening assembling and decorating the house which will grace our dessert table tomorrow night.
