I have added another litter box to the kitten room.
Too many bums in one box.
It's working better now. Not so much litter to clean up off the floor.
Today was a gorgeous day here in Carleton Place, Ontario just west of Ottawa.
It was unseasonably warm and very sunny. I took Kane for his daily walk and noticed he really dawdled today; stopping to smell every little thing. I watched another lady walk by with her young dog, trying to keep up with it as it pranced along. I remember the days walking Kane when he'd be pulling me along and I would wish he would grow up and slow down. Well, the old saying 'be careful what you wish for' is true because he has grown up, grown old and he is a lot slower. Now it just makes me sad.
I saw a loose dog on the street ahead of us as we turned a corner. It's not surprising to find a dog running around off-leash in this town. I hate it but there's not much you can do. Animal Control can be called and they get a warning and then the next day they just let the dog out loose again. Kane does not do well with a loose dog running up to him so we turned the corner and headed in a different direction. While Kane sniffed around I felt like someone was watching us. Yes, amongst the window clutter were two feline eyes.

I am taking Annie in for a check-up. She has had diarrhea the last couple of days and I am concerned about her. She has had 3 kittens at a very young age and had to be de-wormed and vaccinated all at the same time. She is not gaining weight like I had hoped she would although she eats many times throughout the day. She is a fragile looking cat and has come from a very bad situation. She worries me. Please have good thoughts for her. I will keep you posted.
hugs, Deb
