I tried not to cry....I blew it.

My daughter, Allie & her friend, Jessica  left for Ecuador today and will travel around 5 countries in 10 weeks.

I really tried not to cry but I blew it.

They will meet up with another male friend in Chili. I feel good about that because I'm one of those moms that worry about EVERYTHING.

This will be the longest 2 1/2 months of my life but I know it will go by quickly for these two wonderful girls. I could just imagine how excited they were.

I'm glad I have a few distractions for the next little while.
Like these 3....

Right now they are walking but still very wobbly. Their bodies are out of proportion to their eventual adult state. Their tails are very short and stick-like and their heads are large for their bodies. This will change in a week or so. They are playing with each other and 'attacking' when unexpected. Their teeth are coming in now (poor mom). They love to play with mom and she loves it too. They are now sleeping for the night.

So, that was my day. I am tired and fidgety and anxious to hear that my daughter landed safely at their destination. My kids are the most precious people in my life and I want them to experience all that they wish to so, although this is not easy for any mom,  I am excited for her. We will be keeping in touch daily and I will be posting a bit here and there. I'll be doing some praying, too.

hugs, Deb
