White Dog came in mid afternoon to sit in the cooling swamp cooler breeze and to get a drink of water. "Maybe we should have gotten an earlier start," she complained. "It is HOT out there!" White Dog and the others were out supervising Steve's effort to impose order and make room in the storage shed and Michael's sorting of the final dozen boxes from his family that are to be stored there. This was a project long on the "To Do" list but has become more urgent because we need the space for guests coming to stay with us during the 2MillionDog Puppy Up NM Walk to end cancer.

Unfortunately everyone chose to laze in the Sunday morning mellow cuddling and dozing instead of being the early birds out getting the worms. Then there was breakfast...and before we knew it the temperature was in the ninety pluses and the morning nearly over.

Everyone worked very hard, despite the slave like conditions. White Dog and her Army of taskmasters let Steve and Michael pause only for the necessities: water, potty relief, and to issue bribes, er treats. They filled up Pumpkin with donatables and the dumpster with trash. Steve put a few usable "good" things out on the curb with a "Take Me" sign and all were gone by dark.

The WDA gave the workforce an all-star paws-up for their work and we decided that they had earned an Italian dinner out. WD, TOWD, AWD, SAWD, YAWD had a duck jerky snack to tide them over and sent us on our way with orders for spaghetti and meatball takeout. When we returned, the boys invigorated by carbs and fluids, we found the White Ones recovering from the rigors of their supervisory tasks.
