21-year-old U.S Army Sergeant Christopher Roger Bell, was one of four Alaska-based soldiers killed on Saturday 4th June 2011 from the blast of a homemade roadside bomb in Laghman province, eastern Afghanistan.
Sgt. Bell was a member of 3rd Platoon, 164th Military Police Unit, serving with the 793rd Military Police Battalion. He had been in the army for three years and lived at the unit's base in Anchorage, Alaska, with his wife Samantha and 1-year-old daughter Lana.
