Seth and Sean are "crushing" it.

Guide Seth Hobby just called in from the West Fork of the Tokasitna Glacier. He and Sean Russell just climbed a route on the South Face of Kahiltna Queen yesterday. They did not hit the true summit, but just short of it. The route was either one of the first repeats of a route put up around 2003 or it was a first ascent. They are heading back ofer to the East Fork of the Tok to give Huntington another go.

Seth said it is one of the most scenic routes he has ever done. They were surrounded by enormous granite gendarmes the whole time. The route had lots of steep snow, alpine ice and short hard mixed steps. They're super stoked right now!

This photo is not from the route they just did, but from another climb Seth was guiding a few years ago. Seth is a talanted photographer, so we'll post some pics from this climb when they get out.
