Fijian security guard, Peni Tirikula Tulovo

A roadside bomb killed a Fijian security guard in northern Afghanistan on Tuesday 24th May 2011.

Peni Tirikula Tulovo Junior, aged 35, died instantly with four of his comrades - three Tunisians and an American. Hired by an American security company, the five men were escorting a mail delivery vehicle when the incident happened.

Mr Tulovo had previously served with the Fiji Police Force's Ready Action Unit and had recently returned from a year-long peacekeeping mission in Sinai.
