A British soldier from 1st Battalion The Rifles (1 RIFLES) was killed in Afghanistan on Monday 23rd May 2011.
The soldier was killed by an improvised explosive device while on a foot patrol in the Sayedabad Kalay area of the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province.
