White Dog, The Other White Dog, Another White Dog, and Still Another White Dog protested when the alarm clock went off at its extra early Monday time. They were still exhausted from the weekend adventure and the idea of seeing Steve off was not a pressing priority. But, they are loyal and know how much Steve appreciates their prework attentions so they put on groggy but happy faces and completed our breakfast/send-off ritual.
Steve wasn't out of the driveway before the entire White Dog Army turned in formation and marched off to resume their sleep. And that is pretty much how the day was spent.
