White Dog and the other White Dogs were so busy in party preparations and hosting duties for yesterday's celebration that they barely had time to stop and recognizing the official emergence of Spring. Today was the quintessential high desert Spring day...warm and sunny with lusty gusts of canyon winds making blossom laden branches bob and swirling last autumn's dried leaves off to Oz.
This is a time of color in New Mexico and of bird songs and earth smells. Every one of the White Ones ached to be out running at the Park or hiking in the mountains, becoming one with the soaring spirit and hopefulness of this time. We threw open the doors and windows then napped on the sol-warmed deck and sunporch. And we delighted...all of us...in the promise that longer days and more tolerant temperatures will allow us more time laughing in the outdoors, snouts turned toward the heavens soaking up radiance and messages carried on the wind!
Welcome Spring, we have SO missed your smiling touch!
