White Dog, looked at The Other White Dog. "I'm not your ghostwriter, YOU take the keyboard and say want you want. It was YOUR Gotcha Day, after all." So they shifted places and the Big White Boy took the helm. He wiggled to comfortable. White Dog rolled her eyes at his preparatory drama and sat in the hallway with SAWD and AWD to watch.

Quinn looked at me and I put my arm around him in support. The shy one trembled a bit and looked toward the dog door. "Just speak from your heart," I told him.

This is his post:

Dear, dear friends of the Blogworld...no you are MORE than friends...you are my extended family (that's not too bold, is it? I encouraged him to continue),

I thought I was the luckiest pup in the Universe when I was saved from my ugly fate. Then I wound up with a family that loved me, asked no questions, and let me take my time to fit in and I could not imagine anything better. But then momma told me the story of all the strangers who helped me and cared about my well-being and made sure that I was safe and I thought that I had used up my entire life time's allotment of good fortune. Then White Dog introduced me to all of you and I was a little jealous until I realized that you wanted to know not just about her but about me and you cared about me as well...my heart almost burst with all of the love that I felt at being recognized and accepted just for being me.

And now, a year later, you are still encouraging me, and sending me love, and following my story. And I have come to know your stories and appreciate that although we don't always talk about it, that we have lots in common.

Being a Reskimo means that I have a hard time opening up and trusting. But many of you have walked that same road and you understand. And nobody judges. I simply cannot imagine that my life could be any richer or more wonderful...I am blessed by the Universe and touched by magic. This community embodies the spirit of all that is good in two-, three- and four-leggeds.

And that is why I want to give a very special and heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone who left a comment for my Gotcha Day...your kind words made a once homeless stray on deathrow feel like the King of the World and helped a few of our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate and need so much. Our donations have already been sent (Of course, White Dog talked momma into rounding things up...thanks, sis).

You honor me with your generous hearts. Know I cherish you all and am at your side whenever you call.

Sincerely,

The Mighty Quinn, TOWD
