White Dog, The Other White Dog, and Another White Dog tried to pretend it was just a no-fuss day as Steve left this morning carrying Puff in his arms. They settled in for morning naps but could not get comfortable. They asked for attention but wandered off mid pet. White Dog watched out of the front window; Nuka patrolled the office and outside looking for her sister. Quinn slept in her crate. They were all slightly on edge because SAWD was at the vet receiving the next dose of her Heartworm medication.
When Steve pulled up at noon, the White Dogs rushed to the door only to step back in confused disappointment when he came in alone. He tried to explain that Puff would be at the Vet's all day and that he would bring her back later in the afternoon. He ultimately had to take them all out to see that she wasn't left hidden in the minivan.
At 4:30 SAWD came in looking very droopy. The White Dog Army crowded around her sniffing and welcoming her home. She ran right to her crate and slept. Across the remaining afternoon the others checked on her regularly. Nuka slept next to Puff's crate. Our littlest one is exhausted but did have an appetite for dinner.
Puff will not be happy or willing when she learns that she must go back to Dr. Julia tomorrow for the final treatment dose and another all day stay...and the others will be just as fidgety, I suspect. Meanwhile we are all trying to visualize the "good guys" inside her white fluffy body winning the war and cleansing her of the nasty monsters that are stealing her health...and we surround her with all of the powerful energy that an Army of White Dogs commands.
