THE Alcazaba was the Almeria monument which received most visitors in 2010, with 210,946 people, according to the Junta de Andalucia Provincial Culture Delegation.
The months with most visitors were April and August, with 22,675 and 21,452 respectively.
Despite having opened just a few years ago, the Almeria Archaeological Museum was also a popular destination, and received 47,842 visitors, most of them in March and May, with 5,000.
Meanwhile, Velez Blanco castle received 23,698 visits, and Los Millares prehistoric site in Santa Fe de Mondujar 12,516, most of them schoolchildren.
