White Dog and The Other White Dog spent a morning at the spa getting groomed for the holidays and catching up on the neighborhood gossip. Nuka, AWD, was at first miffed that she was not invited along but as the morning wore on, became concerned about where they both were. She paced and kept checking rooms in search of her siblings. Even Puff ventured out of her crate to see why it was so quiet and traffic-free.

AWD, SAWD and I were in the computer room when we heard the door open and Steve enter. "Where are my beautiful babies?" I cried expecting their usual rush for hugs and compliments on their "looks." Instead, Steve came into the room and said, "Here I am!" "No really, where are WD and TOWD?" "In the yard?"

"No, dear one, you dropped them off at the groomer this morning and if you did not stop for them on your way home for lunch, that is where they still are!" Nuka and Puff were starting to look a little nervous. "Oh, yeah, I'll be right back!" Fortunately, the shop is just down the street and I was able to convince our two new furchildren that dad was only joking and not in the habit of forgetting anyone. Seconds later two sparkling bright, sweet smelling, VERY floofy White Dogs burst into the room. Treats all around meant the incident was soon forgotten.

In the afternoon, the weekend's excitement and the spa visit caught up with everyone. Favorite spots were sought out and curled up in as The White Dog Army napped.
