The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.
I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the cool books everyone gets. You will discover lots of wonderful blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.
I had kind of a mixed week. I got some interesting books this week but they are really kind of random.
I got one new book for my Kindle. I chose Reno's Chance by Lora Leigh. I usually like her steamy romances.
I also got 120 Banned Books by Nicholas J. Karolides. I want to have it as a reference for Banned Book Week next year because it groups books by reasons for banning and gives details about who, where and when too.
I won A Black Tie Affair by Sherrill Bodine from Sheila at Book Journey. She gives a prize each week to someone who visits at least 10 It's Monday, What Are You Reading? posts.
I read about The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig. It is said to be similar to The Scarlet Pimpernel which I really liked.
I also received a surprise package in the mail this week that contained:
- One Enchanted Evening by Lynn Kurland which I already have and have read. My review is here and posted on LibraryThing.
- Ravishing in Red by Madeline Hunter. I don't think I have read anything by this author but it looks like an interesting historical romance.
Because I don't need One Enchanted Evening any more, I would be glad to send my copies to the first two persons living in the US or Canada who leave a comment that includes their email address. One copy is brand new and one is gently used. I'll contact the first two people for their mailing information.
This was a relatively quiet week on the adult book side of my personality. Check Ms. Martin Teaches Media to see the mountain I added to my Young Adult and Middle Grade stacks.
Also, don't forget to enter my ARC Giveaway. I have six ARCs up for grabs to followers who live in the US or Canada. You can get all the details here.
